Portrait – Mehnaz

I was invited to shoot a baby shower event by a friend of a friend and I was happy to oblige. It was to be the first event that I would shoot and I was excited and scared at the same time. I’ve never shot an event before and I didn’t want to screw up.

I can’t say I took groundbreaking pictures that satisfied everyone at the event, but I did take a lot of pictures. I even got quite a number of portraits towards the end, and this here is one of my all time favorite ones. Not just because this is the only photo I’ve taken in this angle, but also because I really like how the post-processing turned out.

However, this picture looked infinitely better on my uncalibrated monitor. It was only after I’d uploaded this photo when I realized the colors didn’t look the same from other computers. Rookie mistake!
